VYRD Essence
Painted with the means that already existed two hundred years ago — pigment, varnish, patience. What surfaces beneath them did not exist back then. The pictures pass themselves off as finds from an orderly world, and they keep that order exactly as long as it takes you to step closer. Then something is off, and there is no switching it off again.
Cycle: "Present Tense" (2025/2026)
Images of the present between pop, observation and resistance.
No archive, no invented past. Nothing here is dated, because it is today. Loud, garish, uncomfortable — the present as it photographs itself while something burns in the background. Recorded without judgement. That part we leave to you.
CYCLE: "New Worlds" (2026)
What comes when the here no longer holds. Life settling in — on a planet being emptied, or elsewhere, where no one has looked yet. The works are only just emerging; the cycle is open, its outcome uncertain. Day by day, what shows itself is put on record.
VYRD Photo Collection
Motifs that take their time: dark, clear, precise.
Photographs holding more calm than their subject would suggest. Forest, haze, figures at the edge of the light.
Seen up close or from a distance, they don't give everything away at once.
On paper built to last, in editions that stay small.
